Celebrate Women’s History Month by supporting 11 amazing women-owned businesses in Nashville! Shop, dine, and enjoy live music while discovering the women shaping Music City’s future.

March is Women’s History Month and that means it is a good time to meet the women who are making history in Nashville right now. Check out the following 11 women-owned businesses. You’ll get to meet some of the women who are shaping Music City for the next generation. And, you’ll get to shop in cool boutiques, eat good food and hang out at fun music venues.

1. The Getalong. Jennifer Kite sells kids’ toys and clothing and also welcomes other women-owned businesses into her East Nashville shop. If you’re traveling with your family, check out their regular calendar of events for little ones.

2. The Bookshop Nashville. East Nashville’s cozy book nook is filled with books curated by owner Joelle Herr.

3. Small World Yoga. Nashville native Liz Veyhl and her team of trained yoga instructors teach in their studio in Edgehill and at schools, libraries and community centers across the city.

4. A Shop of Things. Mia Calotta and her team stock this brightly colored East Nashville store with equally brightly colored pillows, jewelry and fun accessories. Many items sport quirky sayings and some attitude.

5. Amy Head Cosmetics. MacKenzie Walker helms this Germantown cosmetic store filled with her mother’s all-natural makeup brand. Walker does makeovers and consultations, too.

6. Thistle Farms. Becca Stevens started a social enterprise to help women survivors of prostitution and addiction. Head to Thistle Farms Café and the adjacent shop to purchase soap, lotions and food made by the women in the Thistle Farms program.

7. Planet Cowboy. Jaylin Raymer designs cowboy boots, hats and other accessories for that chic Nashville look.

8. Sid Gold’s Request Room. Embrace your name-in-lights dreams by singing karaoke as owner Kira Small and other musicians accompany you on piano.

9. AB Hillsboro Village. Marci Allen Von Mal makes an effort to book woman musicians and other acts you might now catch elsewhere in town.

10. Bowery Vault. Emily Zimmer and Vero Sanchez focus on original music (no covers here) at their intimate music venue.

11. Acme Feed and Seed. Original music also rocks the stages at this historic multi-stage Broadway stop run by sisters Lauren and Kendall Morales.
