St. Patrick's Day 2025

Nashville Goes Green All March Long

Whether you're sipping a Guinness, dancing to Celtic tunes, or joining the fun at the inaugural Tennessee Feis, Music City has the luck of the Irish all month long!

March 17 falls on a Monday, but celebrations take place all month. No, Nashville doesn’t dye its river green, but that doesn’t mean you don’t have the luck of the Irish to get to be in Music City during St. Paddy’s Day. There are lots of ways you can celebrate St. Patrick’s Day while you are in town. Wearing green is mostly optional. Having a good time is required.

• Start the festivities by going upstairs. Bobby Nashville’s Rooftop Lounge is hosting St. Patrick’s Day Weekend between March 14 – March 17. Feast on fish ‘n’ chips and Reuben sandwiches. Keep your whistle wet by choosing between Guinness Stout, Magners Irish Cider, Harper Lager (with Snakebite, half & half, or Black Velvet options), Irish Mule (that’s a variation of the Moscow Mule with Jameson, lime and ginger beer) or an Irish Maid (Jameson, elderflower, simple, lemon and cucumber). Prefer something straighter and to the point? Order a Jameson or Bailey’s shot or an Irish Car Bomb (a boilermaker with Irish cream, Irish whiskey and Irish stout). The party (er, paddy) takes place all day and night during regular opening hours.

• Looking for more festivities out and about? Check out an organized pub crawl on March 14, March 15 or March 17. These Luck of the Irish and other pub crawls are ticketed events that include food and drink specials, discounts and crawl photography, plus a post-crawl after party. Wearing green is recommended. Shamrocks optional.

• On March 12, head to the Tennessee Performing Arts Center for A Taste of Ireland―The Irish Music & Dance Sensation. This ticketed show started as an off-Broadway performance in New York and has traveled across the country, bringing a modern twist to traditional Celtic sounds and dances.

• East Nashville is home to the Nashville St. Patrick’s Day Parade, which came back in 2024 after a 19-year slumber. Head over on March 15 to celebrate live music, kids activities and a festive parade marching through the neighborhood streets near the Five Points area.

• The Donelson neighborhood is hosting the Inaugural Tennessee Feis, an event filled with Irish arts and Irish dance competitions for participants of all ages on March 1.
