Karen Seapker is a painter who explores physical, emotional, and intellectual connections through bold color, historical references, and shifting lines. Using a dynamic, gestural style alongside observational techniques, she creates works that allude to human relationships, nature, and the passage of time. Seapker received her MFA from Hunter College in New York and has exhibited at venues including James Cohan Gallery, The Andy Warhol Museum, Rhona Hoffman Gallery, and Sargent's Daughters. Her work is in private collections as well as the Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art, and has been featured in Burnaway, Hyperallergic, and ArtForum. She currently lives and works in Nashville, TN.
