Tony Campbell and Matt Vis are Generic Art Solutions.
Campbell received his MA RCA from The Royal College of Art in London, while Vis earned an MFA at the University of New Orleans. They joined creative forces in NYC in 2000 in order to further develop their multimedia collaborative practices including video and public performance. In 2010 G.A.S. exhibited their solo expo "Déjà Vu All Over Again" at the New Orleans Museum of Art. Notable group shows include "Fútbol: The Beautiful Game" at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, CA in 2014 and in 2018, "The World’s Game: Fútbol and Contemporary Art", Pérez Art Museum Miami FL; both curated by Franklin Sirmans. In 2014 Generic Art Solutions was invited to the Rauschenberg Residency, and their work is included in the Residency’s collection.
